Workplace Training-

Improve communications, efficiency and production at your workplace

  Training Made Easy!

York County Literacy Council brings education to the workplace through PA Win.

Education at York County Literacy Council (YCLC) extends outside of our classrooms to local companies.  YCLC provides Workplace  Training Programs tailor-made for each company.  Employers can arrange for YCLC to bring classes directly to the work-site for their employees to learn the specialized skills they need on-the-job.  Classes focus on teaching basic reading, writing, and English-speaking skills.  YCLC will work with your management team to decide on a specialized curriculum that teaches the words your employees need to know to perform their job at your site.  Workplace Trainings vary by company, but topics that past YCLC Workplace Trainings have covered include safety, communication, filling out forms, reading signs and specific company terms.

Not only are these trainings specific to your company, but through state grants, YCLC can offer these trainings at little or no cost to qualified employers!  Companies such as Penn Wood Products, Tighe Industries, Penn Waste, Utz Quality Foods,  Shultz, Smucker Co., Dentsply International, Ox Paper, Core & Tube and American Signature have all benefited from YCLC's Workplace Trainings.
