Affiliations Seeks to find affiliations that advance the mission of YCLC. "Affiliation" is when we are involved with another organization, mutually beneficial and both parties retain their own identity. Meets monthly.

Finance Has responsibility for financial recordkeeping, budget and grant oversight, asset management and long term financial planning. Evaluates and approves small capital expenditures. Oversees audit process and approves audit draft. Meets monthly.

Fund Development Responsible for the creation of solicitation strategies and framework by expanding the donor base, directs/coordinates the annual End of Year, Spring Appeal and Literacy Empowerment Campaigns, endowment building & related fundraising needs, remains well inform on fundraising special events. Meets monthly.

Buck A Book Responsible for the review, revision and execution of the BAB fundraising prgram. Meets as needed.

| Marketing Identify target audience, appropriate information, production, distribution for a general YCLC brochure and poster. Has responsibility for recruitment, public relations, and awarness events. Meets monthly |

Executive For Board Executives and Executive Director only - Committee to address areas of concern not addressed by another committee and to review agency progress. Meets as needed.

Nominating Responsible for matters pertaining to YCLC Board of Directors' recruitment, nominations, and orientation. Meets quarterly.

Personnel Oversees personnel matters. Meets as needed.

| Governance Assumes primary responsibility for matters pertaining to YCLC Board of Director's strategic planning, structure, governance, documents and evaluation. Meets monthly. |

Educational Advisory Provides input from local commuity leaders (business, education, volunteers) to ensure that we are instructing our adult learnersin the skills and language they need to participate productively in the home, workforce and community. Meets monthly.

Special Events
-Annual Meeting help to set-up, greet attendants, and serve food (held in November) Students often volunteer at events.
--Book Sale Annual book sale during Literacy Week (September) Book lovers come for a "deal"
-Recognition Picnic Students, Volunteers, Staff and families enjoy this social event. Individuals bring a side dish and a chair then eat, play games and join the team in recognizing students for their accomplishments. (June)
