Fourth Annual Book Sale Event Highlights
"Old Abe, Eagle Hero: The Civil War's Most Famous Mascot"
Patrick Young, author of "Old Abe, Eagle Hero: The Civil War's Most Famous Mascot" was present to read and sign his book. Rennie, a Bald Eagle from Carbon County Environmental Educational Center, entertained the crowd on Saturday, while Franklin explained many facts about the eagle as well as environmental concerns. Sponsor, York Audubon Society, had a display table and Usborne Books and More provided a book fair. Miss Karen's Konfections offered samples of her gourmet flavored popcorn and everyone was buying a bag to take along home. Miss Karen has a stand at Eastern Market.
